You should be aware of Career Options after 10th class/SSC because this will decide your career field. There are number of courses after 10th in which you can make your future.

Basically INTERMEDIATE i.e., after 10th class, the decision made by you, decides the direction of your future platform / field. This is the first time you will be making major decision on your future career. “Time & Age, Never Comes Back”—Make right decision at right time.

Most people neglect the selection of the career at this point of time. They prefer to go with the parents decision / society’s preference / friends choice, but never understands and recognize their interests.

If you go with the interest you have, then you will recognize multiple career options after 12th/intermediate. Do complete research before taking decision. It is the matter of your life.

For example: If you want to become a doctor, but you choose MPC as intermediate course then after completion of MPC you can’t opt for MBBS. If you still want to, then you should start intermediate branch once again.

This is the most important decision of your life as it decides your future career direction you choose among the career options after 10th class/SSC.

You have to go through all the options and its future effects to decide your career path.

In intermediate each stream is better. Depending upon the one who is doing it. If you like Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science then go to Science stream in intermediate.

If you want to study Finance and Business then take Commerce.

If you like English, History, Geography, Politics then you may opt for Arts/Humanities.

ITI ( Industrial Training Institutes ) and ITCs (Industrial Training Centres ):

ITI is also like polytechnic courses but it is not diploma level, the branches in ITI is some what same like Polytechnic courses.

Constituted under Ministry of Labour, Union Government of India, Government-run ITIs and privately-run ITCs are training organisations which provide training in technical field.

ITI courses are designed to impart basic skills needed for a specified trade like electrician, machinist, fitter, plumber, turner, welder etc. and depending upon the options taken, the duration of course may vary from 1 year to 3 years. After passing the course the student may opt to undergo practical training in his trade in an industry.

A National Trade Certificate (NTC) is a certificate provided by NCVT (National Council for Vocational training ) in the concerned trade and to obtain this certificate one has to qualify the All India Trade Test (AITT).

The certificate obtained people can find job openings in government sectors like Indian Railways, telecom departments etc. after qualifying a written examination.

Job oriented career options


After 10TH/SSC, one can join in Indian Army to the posts of soldiers through written exams like Indian Army Soldier Clerks Examination, Indian Army Soldier General Duty (N.E.R.) Examination, Indian Army Soldier Technical (M.E.R.) Examination, Indian Army Soldier Nursing Assistants (M.E.R.) Examination AND much more.


Job opportunities are available in Indian Navy as Dock Yard Apprentices, Sailors, Artificer Apprentices, etc. on the basis of written examination.


On the basis of physical test and written test, one can join as constable in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and also in local state police constable position.
